Internal Combustion Engines

The presence of Internal Combustion Engines can be noticed in powerful industrial machinery, automobiles like cars and easy to relocate equipment. These are also used to operate rockets. The combustion chamber of these engines acts as a suitable enclosed area for burning fuel. The movement of these engines depends on the expansion or circulation of heated gases. The hot gases are instrumental in driving rotor or piston of these combustion engines. The offered Internal Combustion Engines are especially suitable for automobiles where non electric motor is required.

Engine Test Stand 11kW

Price: 10 INR/Piece

Engine Test Stand 11kW: Micro Teknik Technical Description Setting up a power test stand for internal combustion engines with a power output of up to 11kW requires two main components: The control and load unit and a choice of test engine: single cylinder research engine (water-cooled), 2-cylinder petrol engine (air-cooled) and 2-cylinder diesel engine (water-cooled). The main function is to provide the required braking power. This is generated by an air-cooled asynchronous motor with a regenerative feedback unit. The braking speed can be precisely adjusted using a potentiometer. The torque is measured indirectly using a force transducer. For this purpose, the entire brake system is mounted in floating bearings. The test engine is mounted on the test bed and connected to the asynchronous motor. The asynchronous motor is initially used as the starting mechanism for the test engine. As soon as the test engine is running, the asynchronous motor and regenerative feedback unit act as a brake unit for applying a load to the combustion engine. The braking power is fed back into the electrical system. The lower section of the mobile instrument panel contains fuel tanks and a quietening vessel for the intake air. The panel contains digital displays for the speed, torque, air consumption and temperatures (engine cooling water - inlet and outlet - exhaust gas, fuel and intake air). Fuel consumption, cooling water flow rate in test engine and the calorimeter available as an option are displayed in analogue form. All measuring signals are present in electrical form and can be stored and processed using the PC data acquisition function supplied. Data is transmitted to the PC using a USB interface. Lifting gear is required to exchange the test engines.

Universal Drive and Brake Unit

Price: 10 INR/Piece

Universal Drive and Brake Unit: Micro Teknik is manufacture, exporters & suppliers Technical Description The is core component of a modular series of equipment that allows experiments to be performed on a variety of engines and machines, e.g. pumps, turbines or combustion engines. The machine or engine to be tested is connected to the using a V-belt drive. The is attached to the machine or engine using toggle-type fasteners. The main function of to provide the required drive or braking power to perform experiments on the selected engine or machine. This power is generated by an air-cooled asynchronous motor with a frequency converter. The energy that is created when braking in generator mode is converted into heat by a load resistor. The drive or braking torque can be precisely adjusted. It is measured indirectly using a force transducer. For this purpose, the asynchronous motor is mounted in floating bearings. A carriage on which the “engine and force transducer unit can be moved acts as a tensioning device for the V-belt. The contains digital displays for speed and torque. Data is transmitted between and the engine or machine via a data cable, which connects the control cabinets for the two units. All measuring signals are present in electrical form and can be stored and processed using the PC data acquisition function supplied for the engine or machine. Data is transmitted to the PC using a USB interface.

Brake Unit 75kW for 4 Cylinder Engines

Price: 10 INR/Piece

Brake Unit 75kW for 4 Cylinder Engines: Micro Teknik Technical Description Setting up a power test stand for internal combustion engines with a power output of up to 75kW requires two main components: The control and load mechanism and a choice of test engine: petrol engine or diesel engine. The engine to be investigated is connected to the using a coupling with a jointed shaft. The main function to provide the required braking power, which is generated by an air-cooled eddy current brake. The braking torque can be precisely adjusted using the exciting current. It is measured indirectly using a force transducer. For this purpose, the entire brake system is mounted in floating bearings. On the base frame there is a quietening vessel with an intake air duct for the combustion air. The quantity of air taken in is measured in the duct. The rotating control cabinet contains digital displays for speed, torque, volumetric flow of the intake air and temperatures (exhaust gas, oil, cooling water - inlet and outlet - fuel, intake air). Data is transmitted between the brake unit and the engine via a data cable, which connects the control cabinets for the two units. All measuring signals are present in electrical form and can be stored and processed using the PC data acquisition function supplied. Data is transmitted to the PC using a USB interface. In addition to the standard safety features (e.g. oil pressure, temperature limiter), the brake unit contains a limit switch to monitor whether the brake and the engine are correctly connected.

4 Cylinder Petrol Engine

Price: 10 INR/Piece

4 Cylinder Petrol Engine: Micro Teknik Technical Description: In conjunction with the brake unit, the test engine makes up a complete engine test stand. The engine is a 4-cylinder in-line engine with a regulated catalytic converter. It has an integral closed cooling water circuit. A solid, welded base frame on rollers carries the entire setup. Hazardous areas such as hot surfaces and rotating parts are covered with perforated plates. The engine is connected to the brake unit using an elastic coupling with a jointed shaft. The test engine is attached to the brake unit using toggle-type fasteners. The engine is fitted with sensors that measure the temperatures and the cooling water flow rate. The control cabinet contains all of the electronic equipment for managing the engine (factory set). On the control cabinet are an ignition key, an operating time counter and warning lamps. Data is transmitted between the brake unit and the engine via a data cable connecting the control cabinets for the two units. For safety reasons, the engine has been adjusted so that it is only possible to start it when it is connected to the brake unit both mechanically and electrically.

Exhaust Heat Analyzer

Price: 10 INR/Piece

Exhaust Gas Calorimeter: Micro Teknik Determination of the thermal exhaust gas losses is essential when calculating an energy balance for internal combustion engines. Calorimetric measurement is an established method of doing this. It involves a largely complete and loss-free heat exchange between the exhaust gas and a cooling medium. The exhaust gas calorimeter consists of an insulated stainless steel tank, through which the exhaust gas flows from bottom to top. While doing this, the exhaust gas gives up its heat almost completely to a finned pipe with cooling water flowing through it. The pipe is arranged in loops to achieve the maximum possible heat exchange area. Relevant temperatures (water and exhaust gas inlet and outlet) and the volumetric flow of the water are recorded electronically and displayed digitally using a measuring amplifier. The measuring amplifier is connected to the test stand using a data cable. This allows the measured data from the to be stored and processed using PC data acquisition. Connected to a test engine using a heat-resistant exhaust gas hose.
