About SINGLE PHASE CYCLOCONVERTER

Single Phase Cycloconverter

This kitconsists of a power circuit and a firing circuit for demonstration of a singlephase cyclo converter.

POWER CIRCUIT:

This unitconsists of 4 SCRs to be interconnected as center tap transformer type cycloconverter power circuit. Each device is mounted on a heat sink and protected bysnubber circuit, fuse and circuit breaker. Voltmeter and ammeter is provided toread voltage and current values. This unit can be used with R, RL and motorload. The connections are brought out to front panel via terminals.

The entiresetup is enclosed in a poweder coated MS box.

FIRING CIRCUIT:

This unitgenerates 4 synchronized firing pulses to trigger SCRs connected in center taptransformer and bridge type cyclo converter configuration. Frequency divisionfrom 1 to 10 is is provided and the firing angle can be varied between 180 and0 degree by using the potentiometer. Test points are provided to study logiccircuit. Works on 230V mains and is enclosed in a powder coated MS box.

On requestthe power circuit and firing circuit can be provided in a single kit as wellfor certain specifications.
