About RECIPROCATING PUMP TEST RIG

The present Reciprocating PumpTest Rig is a self-contained unit operated on closed circuit basis containing asump tank. The set-up consists of a Double acting, Single CylinderReciprocating Pump coupled with an AC Motor. Flow of water is measured by usingmeasuring tank and stopwatch.

Vacuum gauge is fitted on suctionline and Pressure gauge is fitted on delivery line to measure the pressure.

Experimentation:

To determine the characteristicsof reciprocating pump and to find out total head, pump efficiency, overallefficiency & volume metric efficiency.
