About Le-Chatelier Mould

Le-Chatelier Mould:

  • We supply technically advanced range of le- chatelier mould which is extensively used for soundness test of the cement. In this apparatus it includes a small split cylinder forming a mould of 30mm internal dia and which is 30 mm high.
  • Two parallel indicating arms with pointed ends are fixed on either side of the fixed cylinder. The mould is offered with two glass plates and lead weights. Moreover, a set of six moulds is supplied in the cardboard box.
  • Our product is fabricated in compliance with IS: 5514 standard and can be delivered on time.

Precision and Compliance

Engineered to conform with IS: 269 standards, the Le-Chatelier Mould guarantees high precision and repeatability for cement soundness testing. Its brass or gunmetal construction ensures durability and resistance to corrosion, while calibrated markings allow for exact measurements, improving your laboratorys confidence in results.

Versatile Application in Laboratories

Designed for use in laboratory environments, the Le-Chatelier Mould supports a wide range of cement and soil testing procedures. Its standard dimensions and manual operation make it compatible with commonly used testing protocols. The equipment is suitable for quality control, research, and industrial applications across India.

FAQs of Le-Chatelier Mould:

Q: How is the Le-Chatelier Mould used to determine the soundness of cement?

A: The Le-Chatelier Mould is used by preparing a cement paste and placing it in the split cylinder mould between two calibrated glass plates. The specimen is subjected to specific temperature conditions and observations are made for expansion, indicating the soundness of the cement as per IS: 269.

Q: What materials are used for the construction of the Le-Chatelier Mould?

A: Le-Chatelier Moulds are primarily manufactured from brass or gunmetal, following the IS: 269 specification, with glass plates featuring a machined smooth surface to ensure accurate testing and corrosion resistance.

Q: When should the Le-Chatelier Mould be utilized in cement testing?

A: This mould should be used during the laboratory analysis for determining the soundness of cement, particularly when verifying compliance with Indian Standard specifications such as IS: 269, or as part of quality assurance protocols in cement production.

Q: Where can the Le-Chatelier Mould be applied?

A: It is designed for laboratory environments and is widely used in soil and cement testing, suitable for distributors, exporters, manufacturers, suppliers, and traders throughout India.

Q: What is the process for conducting a test with the Le-Chatelier Mould?

A: The process involves filling the mould with cement paste, assembling the glass plates, and subjecting the setup to controlled ambient conditions. The calibrated markings help measure any specimen expansion, following procedures outlined in IS: 269.

Q: What are the benefits of using this mould for cement soundness testing?

A: Benefits include high measurement accuracy due to calibrated markings, corrosion-resistant durable materials, and compliance with standard regulations. It provides reliable and repeatable results, critical for cement quality control.
