About TIME CONSTANT OF MANOMETER APPARATUS

Description:

The present set-up is designed to study the characteristicsof a U Tube manometer. It consists of a U Tube manometer, which is pressurizedby air. A suitable and proper arrangement has done for charging and dischargingthe manometer fluid in the manometer.

This arrangement facilitate to observe the response ofdifferent types of manometer fluids of different heights. An air pressureregulator is provided to change the pressure in the manometer.

All components are assembled on a frame to form a tabletopset-up.

Experimentation:

To find the characteristics of U tube manometer.

To estimate the theoretical time constant and dampingcoefficient of the manometer.

To plot the graphs with damping co-efficient as abcirra anddecay ratio, overshoot and frequency of oscillation as ordinates.
