About ROTARY SENIOR MICROTOME

Rotary Senior Microtome (Spencer 820 type):most modern andreliable sectioning equipment designed for very precise sectioning of tissuesupto 1 micron thickness. The feed indicator, located in front of microtome isoperated by the latest 'CAM DRIVE SYSTEM™ for accurate feed setting from 1-50microns in steps of one micron. It is graduated in microns, is conveniently locatedin the front for instant references and its setting is controlled by a knurledknob at the back of the microtomes. The interior mechanism rests on a heavycast iron base and is covered with a full swing protective cover for easiercleaning and lubrication. The Salient features include independent feedmechanism with automatic safety device, universal knife holder with lateralmovements permitting use of the entire knife edge, universal vice type objectholder for accurate centering of the specimen. The instrument ensures life-long smooth operation .Individual components are fabricated and assembledusing latest technology and selected materials. The knife supplied with themicrotome is fabricated from imported fine grain steel tested for micro-structureand is heat treated for optimum rigidity and sharpness.
