About LEAF FILTER APPARATUS

Description:

Leaf filters, sometimes called tank filters, they consistsof flat filtering elements (leaves) supported in a shell. The leaves arecircular, arc-sided, or rectangular, and they have filtering surface on bothfaces. The shell is a cylindrical tank the set-up consists of flat filteringelements (leaves) supported in a slurry tank. A filter leaf consists of aperforated plate over which a filter medium of woven fabric is fitted. Thewhole assembly is connected to a vacuum pump through a filtrate receiver. Anagitator is fitted in the slurry tank. Drain valve is provided in it. Theset-up is operated batch wise.
