About Clinometer Compass

Clinometer Compass:

Clinometer Handle Compass is a reproduction of an antique Clinometer compass. The Handle Compass gets its name from its "handle" shaped sight, which actually serves two purposes: With the compass level, an object can be viewed through the peep sights to determine its magnetic heading. The second and most interesting purpose is when tilting the compass on its side and viewing an object through the sights, its angle of elevation or declination can be found. A weighted pendulous arm beneath the compass needle can be read from one of three scales: Angle in degrees beneath the zenith (from straight up), angle in degrees of elevation or declination, and in inches per yard of slope. The compass has a needle lift mechanism to protect the compass jewel and the pendulous arm when being transported.

Versatile and Durable Construction

This clinometer compass combines a sturdy aluminium body with a choice of powder-coated or polished finishes, offering both resilience and style. Its glass cover protects internal components, making it suitable for outdoor surveying projects. Compact (110 x 65 x 20 mm) and lightweight (about 180 g), its designed for portability and longevity.

Precise Analog Readings

Equipped with a magnetic needle, compass card, and graduated arc, the analog display ensures quick and reliable degree readings. The Clinometer Compass offers a measuring range of 0 to 90 for inclination and 0 to 360 for directional bearings, making it valuable for a variety of surveying applications.

Manual, Power-Free Operation

This model operates entirely manually without the need for batteries or electricity. The spirit level and easy-read graduations facilitate straightforward and accurate use on site. Its splash-proof construction ensures reliable performance even in challenging environmental conditions.

FAQs of Clinometer Compass:
