About Axial-Flow Impulse Turbine

Axial-Flow Impulse Turbine

Axial flow impeller turbine demonstration model is developed for use along with the Turbine Service Unit. The turbine unit placed on the Turbine Service Unit is supplied with water by the service unit. Plexiglass is used for making the turbine housing in order to clearly observe the axial water jet. There is a braking device on the impeller shaft of the turbine. This braking device is in the form of a band brake. The strain gauge fitted to the braking device measures the load and moment on the turbine shaft. The rotational speed of turbine can be measured with an inductive proximity switch.
